Many teachers utilize their school yards in the fall and spring, but why not in the winter as well? If you are having trouble deciding what you can do with your students outside in the winter, Project Learning Tree offers some helpful tips to get you started. Below you will find some activities that you can do with your students as they step outdoors in winter.
1. Step into the shoes of an animal in winter. What food do they eat? Where do they sleep? How do they stay warm? Students can explore their surroundings and see first-hand how each animal survives in the winter.
